Before and After

On a small budget, a much loved book collection found a home. Extra storage was provided in the bench seating which has the additional benefit of extending the possible number of people around the table from 3 to 6. I applied the blue wallpaper to the backs of the shelving before assembly.

Sometimes small changes have a big impact. The door was painted in the just right shade of yellow, the exterior hardware was updated, and the exterior paint was taken all the way down to ground the house.

“Traci transformed my 1990s style bathroom into an upscale spa for around $500!”

“I wanted to go bold in the living room, but was nervous.  Traci helped me overcome my hesitancy with bold accent colors. Now I love it!” To keep costs reasonable and avoid adding to a landfill, the kitchen backsplash was painted instead of replaced. Changing the pendent lights also helped change the feel of the kitchen. The design was created using some of the client’s inspiration photos.

“Making smart inexpensive changes like complementary door knobs, hardware, and light fixtures changed the entire look of my house!”

This kitchen was updated with new cabinet hardware, pendants that were made to fit into the recessed lighting (no electrician required), and paint. White paint brightened the walls of the kitchen and improved the look of the stone counters on the island as well as lightening the dark backsplash.

Using a piece the homeowners had and was being sent to storage allowed for closed storage under the tv reducing visual clutter. The bookcase was repurposed in a closet to help with clothes organization.

The client desired a more harmonious space so we stained the baskets and coffee table darker to lessen the contrast and create more visual calm. We also covered the photo albums with wrapping paper to lessen the distraction in the bookcase.
